Getting task_name of specific inbox item

Hi,

I am struggling with a very peculiar issue here. I am modifying the ObjectLocator component, so that when a user selects a task from his inbox and decides to delegate it to another user, the list of users he gets to see will comprise of users from the same group(and not all the groups, which is the case at the moment).
To provide a simple example, if a user is in 'reviewers' role, the list he gets to see, should be the list of all 'reviewers'.

In order to accmplish that, I've zeroed in on the name,task_name and the sent_by attributes of dmi_queue_item.

Now the issue I am grappling with at the moment is , that how to get the task_name of the inbox item on which the user has clicked in order to delegate it to some other user.
Though the tasks from the any user's inbox can be retrieved and processed very easily as follows:-
IDfCollection tasks = session.getTasks("someUser", DfSession.DF_TASKS, null, "task_name");

but unfortunately, this will list all the tasks in inbox of the user and I've not been able to figure out how to get that specific task_name on which the user has clicked.

Any help/suggestion on it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Ravi

6.5SP3 Install failure: HeadStart Script Failed

I was surprised to encounter this problem as I was doing a very generic by-the-book install of 6.5SP3 on a clean Solaris 10 server talking to a clean Sybase server. Everything went fine until the step after designating the global registry when the installer got to running the configuration scripts and failed during execution of the first one, the Docbase HeadStart script. I did NOT elect to modify the configuration scripts. At 2% done it errored out. A tail of the relevant log is below and isn't especially helpful to me. Has anyone else encountered this during a generic 6.5SP3 install? Why would dm_message_address already exist if this is a clean install? Is this because I elected to use the one and only just created docbase for the global registry? Per the documentation that should work and in fact looks like the simplest option. Thanks.

Create java type...
Create type dm_message_container
Create type dm_message_archive
Create type dm_attachments_folder
Create type dm_message_address
[DM_QUERY_E_CREATE_FAILED]error: "CREATE TYPE statement failed for type: dm_message_address."

[DM_TYPE_MGR_E_SAVE_SAME_NAME]error: "Attempt to save type dm_message_address while type with this name already exists."

[DM_SESSION_I_DEADLOCK_RETRY]info: "Retrying server operation following a DBMS Deadlock Error."

Failed to create type dm_message_address

CS 6.5SP3 Install: What to set SYBASE_JRE to?

Installing content server 6.5SP3 on Solaris 10. Talking to Sybase 15 which is running on a different server. Page 50 of the CS install guide (Sybase 15 configuration section) just says to set SYBASE_JRE along with some other SYBASE* environment variables for the "installation owner's environment" which I take to mean the installation owner on the Documentum server. It unhelpfully doesn't say what to set them to. With Sybase 12 open client there is a $SYBASE/shared-1_0/JRE-1_3 sub-directory I've set SYBASE_JRE to in the past, but the Sybase 15 open client has no shared* sub-directory. On the Sybase 15 server itself the sybase admin. account has a SYBASE_JRE6 environment variable set, but that is for a path on the Sybase server which of course doesn't exist on the Documentum server.

Thanks

user usage statistics

Hello guys

Been dipping into the audit trail of a new system - to get a feel for whose doing what etc.

The point being, need to produce some usage statistics for the management.
I remember at one time using a Business Objects universe and handing that off to a number cruncher who produced some nice charts.

We don't have BO at this site, are there any cheap tools around (or any good tips) for drilling out info from Documentum. Audit trail seems to be a handy place to start and should be adequate.
Essentially this is a taskspace application - there are of course web logs but just throwing the question out to see how others have achieved this.

Many thanks

Kevin

An administrator can edit it, but it shows as disabled for everyone else. I know you can make WDK roles based on role so I'm thinking there is a way to do this but am having trouble finding exactly how.

Is there one central place I can do this, or does it need to be done in each of the individual components (properties, import, new)? I've looked at the import_component.xml and don't see how to change the properties of individual attributes. Can anyone give me a push in the right direction?

IMAP SSL BPM clear text over the LAN - "not a good idea" question

Hello

We have a CS on RedHat which is supposed to connect via IMAP (SSL) to an MS Exchange Server - except SSL isn't supported with BPM Email integration. The company is not at all happy about the transmission of clear text credentials over their LAN - fair enough.

Loads of posts on powerlink supporting the fact that quite a few people would like to have this yet, there is no plan from EMC to implement SSL on IMAP in the near future (really) - which is strange because EMC is quite a secure product and that is a selling point - to change policy here is to "chip away" at internal security - i.e., there are no other systems in this org that fires unencrypted passwords through the ether.

The problem is on the Linux end because the Documentum does not support proper SSL security and it wont be supported in the near future.

Q1. Is there anything which can be installed on the RedHat that can proxy at that end from IMAP to IMAPS to encrypt/decrypt at the Linux server?

Q2. It seems reasonable to suggest that the org I work at isn't the only one complaining about having clear text fired up and down their network. From an infrastructure point of view, are there any comments about this?

Many thanks

Kevin
